Stuckey Tyres has just taken delivery of our first shipment of classic Pirelli tyres for cars from the 60's and 70's.
PIRELLI first introduced their CINTURATO ™ range of radial tyres in 1952, using the CA67 tread pattern. Within no time at all the CA67 CINTURATO ™ tyres were being fitted by the likes of Lancia, Alfa Romeo, Lotus, Maserati, Ferrari & Aston Martin.
The CN36 PIRELLI CINTURATO ™ was introduced in 1969 as PIRELLI's 70 profile high performance range of tyres, and is well known for it's fitment to Porsche 911 and Ford Escort Mexico. It is the perfect low profile tyre to be fitted as a period upgrade, to a full profile tyre without spoiling the handling of the light weight rear wheel drive sports cars of the '60s & '70s because its rounded shoulders are developed to run in conjunction with the car technology of the day.
PIRELLI are also reproducing the 1971 CINTURATO CN12 tyre. The 205/70VR15 PIRELLI CINTURATO CN12 is perfect for Jaguar XJS, XJ6, V12 E type of the 70s & 80s while the 215/70VR15 CN12 fits Jaguars V12 XJ12 & XJS cars, a wide range of 70s Ferrari, Lamborghini & Maserati & the 255/60VR15 CN12 is original equipment for the Aston Martin Vantage, the rear tire of the Lamborghini Miura SV. 215/70VR15 & 255/60VR15 is the perfect set up for an AC Cobra.
Cars such as Ferrari 330, 365, 400 & 512, Maserati Bora, Ghibli, Mistral & QuattroPorte, Lamborghini Miura, Jarama, & Espada, Jaguar XJ12 & XJS & the Jensen Interceptor FF all fitted 215/70VR15. The CN12 tread pattern came out in 1971.
Also available again is the Cinturato CN72. These High Speed Pirelli Cinturato tires took the world by storm. Cars such as the Maserati Mistral changed from 16" Borrani Wheels to 15" Borrani wheels so they could take advantage of this new tire technology. Many other Italian Exotic car fitments such as the ISO Grifo & Rivolta, Lamborghini 350 Gt, 400 GT 2+2, Islero, Muira & Espada, Maserati Mexico, Sebring, Ghibli, & QuattroPorte, Ferrari 500 SuperFast, 365 Spider & 330 GT 2+2. They were also an option for the early Rolls Royce Silver Shadow, Series 2 DB6 and Aston Martins 6 cylinder DBS.
