Dunlop tyres have once again risen to the top of the results sheet. Congratulations to Luke Anear and Andy Sarandis for winning this year's event outright. Luke and Andy used the now famous Dunlop Direzza 03G (DZ03G) tyres, but with a new development compound R3. Luke had been running second to Tony Quinn (also on Dunlop tyres) and passed him on the last day of competition. said Luke: “We had a red hot go and I drove the best I’ve ever driven and we caught him (Quinn) on the Palmerston run (TS 15),” Anear said. “He wasn’t going to let me by and it was very satisfying. Then we managed to double the lead again on the next shorter stage.” “Because the roads were damp we reckon the Subaru was the right car for the conditions.
