XVS

Michelin Classic XVS

The XVS, launched in 1972, is a development of the XAS.

Designed to provide high-performance grip levels for cars with a speed capabilities exceeding 200 km/h.

This tyre has a flat tread with water drainage channels, similarly to the XAS tyre concept.

The separate shoulder designs allow the tyre to face the major high speed constraints on winding roads.

The XVS provides exceptional performance, consistent with the significantly improved top speed of vehicles in the second half of the 1970s.
It benefits from tread design variations, called "variable pitches", which aim to reduce rolling noise.

The XVS – P is a further development of the XVS requested by certain car builders.

The P (for "protection") highlights the fact that the tyre includes a heavy-duty rubber bead on its outer sidewall, in order to protect the wheel or hubcap from kerbside friction.
