Alan Friend and Robin Smalley scored a convincing 16 second win in their Nissan Silvia at yesterday's action-packed Rally Bonnie Doon held in North Eastern Victoria.

The Nissan driver, who last competed in the Alpine Rally in November, proved too good for the 60-strong field, beating home Simon and Ian Ellis (Subaru Legacy) and Ross O'Reilly/Tim McGill in a Nissan Bluebird, for a top-of-podium finish.

Both leading cars used Dunlop tyres exclusively, whilst the third placed car used a combination of Dunlop and others.

Once again, DUNLOP tyres were the most popular choice. All placegetters used the dominant DUNLOP DZ86R rally tyres, as did 7 of the top ten cars, and the majority of the field.
