Mark Fawcett has claimed maximum points in the Victorian rally Championship, by winning the East Gippsland Stages outright.

The event was flagged away from the main street of Bairnsdale for a midday start on Saturday the 16th of May, with a good crowd in attendance to check out the array of different rally cars assembled.

Mark was ably assisted by navigator Carrie Morris and the DUNLOP tyres fitted to his Subaru WRX.

Mark used the same spec DUNLOP DZ86R rally tyres as he used to win the 2008 Championship, mated to Compomotive TH3 wheels.

Winning P1 class were Brad and Melinda Sanders in their quick little Suzuki Swift Gti. Brad is another committed DUNLOP customer, also using the strong Compomotive wheels.

Winning maximum points in the 2009 Stuckey Tyres Clubman award was Rob Parry in his Datsun 1600.

Next round in both the Victorian Championship and Clubman Award will be the Bega Valley Motors Rally June 7th.
