RMIT Racing has launched their new 2008 challenger R08 in front of more than 100 sponsors, friends and
associates at RMIT University.
The University also took the opportunity to launch the new e-08 vehicle- a student developed, fully electric FSAE
prototype built from the R04 vehicle platform. Both vehicles will be present at the forthcoming FSAE Australasia
Competition, held at Werribee from 27 to 30 November 2008.
The R08 FSAE vehicle has taken 11 months to design and manufacture, with the vehicle differing substantially to
all of its predecessors. The vehicle is also compliant with the 2009 FSAE regulations, permitting the vehicle to
compete at all international FSAE events in 2009.
Full scale on-track testing of the vehicle is to occur in the coming days ahead of the forthcoming FSAE Australasia
Competition.
