Mark Fawcett and Simon Ellis got their 2008 Championship campaign to a strong start with a second place at the Cerberus Stages rally March 1st.

Mark had been working overtime since the end of the 2007 Championship, building a completely new car. Seen in action on the left, the new car was only completed days before the event and had no testing miles.

Driving their new car for the first time, the duo won their class and were the top VRC finisher outright.

Once again the Fawcett Subaru used the Dunlop DZ86R tyre.

Next event on the VRC calendar is East Gippsland Stages May 10th.
