Winners Bernie Webb and Steve Glenney

Steve Glenney and Bernie Webb have won the 2008 Rally Tasmania. The win was quite emphatic, being the fastest across 18 of the 20 stages, demonstrating great speed and consistency in his Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 9 on all 192 competitive kilometres.

Glenney was in the same car that took Alan Simonsen to the Rally Tasmania title in 2007. It was just his second outing in the event, and his result this time was a significant improvement on his fourth in 2006.

The thoroughbred horse trainer finished one minute 45 seconds clear of Jim Richards in his 2007 Porsche GT3 RS .

Both cars used the DUNLOP DZ03G, as did the majority of the field.
