News & Info » Nov-Vale: Paul Flintoft

On Nov 3rd 2007 the Australian motorsport community lost one of its friends and devotees. Paul Flintoft, pictured here with wife Jenny in a much earlier and happier event, sadly died in a crash whilst competing in the Mt Buller Sprint.

Regarded as one of the most professional and competent co-drivers in Australia, 42-year old Flintoft went on to compete at the highest levels of motorsport, co-driving with local and international drivers in Asia-Pacific and Australian Rally Championships, as well as the growing sport of tarmac rallying.

Highly regarded for his extraordinary attention to detail and his consummate professionalism, Paul's immense commitment to rallying and his dedication to the navigation skills will be sorely missed.

On a more personal level, Paul's friendship and quasi Japanese conversations will be fondly remembered.

Paul Flintoft is survived by his wife Jenny and sons, Mark and Sean. To them especially, and to all who knew Paul, we send our deepest sympathies.
