Mark Fawcett and Simon Ellis have maintained their Victorian Rally Championship lead with a strong second place in the East Gippsland Stages. Once again the leading pair chose the DUNLOP DZ86R tyres for their Subaru Impreza WRX. The pair vaulted into second place during the night stages, but could not close on the leaders due to dust problems.

Winning the event outright were 2006 Champions Justin Dowell and Matt Lee in their Mitsubishi lancer EVO IX.

Winners of the Hyundai Excel Rally Series were Paul Batten and Craig Jones. Paul and Craig also achieved the distinction of winning the 2 Wheel drive championship, beating much higher powered cars. they chose the DUNLOP SP83R tyre for their Front Wheel Drive.

Winners of the inaugural Stuckey Tyres Clubman Award were Tim Stuchberry and Nathan Paparella in their Holden Commodore. Tim and Nathan completed the strong result for DUNLOP by chosing the popular combination for rear wheel drive cars: DUNLOP SP72R front and DUNLOP DZ86R rear.

This was another strong result for DUNLOP, being the most popular tyre in the top 10.
