In winning his fifth Classic Adelaide Rally, Rex Broadbent (pictured here with Navigator Michael Goodhear) launched the new Dunlop DZ03G tyre onto the Australian motorsport scene with a bang.
This year Rex took the opportunity of using the new DZ03G tyre on the rear of his 1974 Porsche 911 RS with the DZ02G on the front. "The new tyres were phenominal on the rear" said Rex, adding "they gave the car perfect balance with the DZ02G pattern on the front."
"The Dunlop DZ03G is our newest tyre, and represents the culmination of a long evolution of street legal race tyres, from D98J, through D01J and DZ02G" said Russell Stuckey, Dunlop Motorsport Distributor.
The DZ03G is an evolution of tread pattern, but adopts the same philisophy of compound and construction design that characterises the current range. Ultimately available in about 15 sizes, this tyre will be compatible with all other patterns for cars that require unique sizes and compounds at each end of the car. Classic examples of this are typically Porsche models, but also include Lotus, Ferrari and other high performance sportscars.
