At the Rally of Melbourne Sept 23, Justin Dowell and Matt Lee took their Mitsubishi EvoVIII to outright victory in the Victorian Rally Championship category of this National event.

Second place went to William Robertson and Rian Calder in a Subaru Impreza STI, also using the Dunlop DZ86R.

Third place went to Brendan Reeves and Rhianon Smyth, also in a Subaru Impreza, also on the ubiquitous Dunlop tyre.

In addition, Dunlop tyres were used by P1 class winners, Brad and Melinda sanders in their Suzuki Swift, and P2 winners Brenton Kaitler and Ben Searcy in their Mitsubishi Mirage.

In winning this event, Justin Dowell and Matt Lee become Victorian Rally Champions for 2006, repeating their Championship win of 2005.
