Dunlop's domination of Tarmac rallying continues with this years running of Targa Tasmania. Congratulations to Jim Richards and Barry Oliver on their 8th targa win.
The competition is hotting up however, "This is probably our best win ever," said Richards. "Competition has been really tight and up until a few stages ago the lead was as close as it's ever been."
Jim partially attributes his win to the DUNLOP DZ02G tyres on the front of his Porsche GT2.
Dunlop tyres were also used by the winner in the Classic category. Ian Morris and Alex Molocznyk used DUNLOP DZ02G tyres on their winning Alfa Romeo GTV6.
Coming third in the Classic category were Geoff Taylor and Lee Harper in their Porsche 911, also on DUNLOP tyres.
This year the trend to DUNLOP continued, with a massive 50% of the Modern category using DUNLOP tyres. The balance of the field used a selection of seven other brands.
