Jim Richards Porsche

Dunlop has drawn first blood in tarmac rallies for 2006, supplying the ubiquitous DZ02G tyres for the winning Porsche GT2 of Jim Richards and Barry Oliver in the recent Porsche Mt Buller Sprint. They were the fastest crew on the demanding 16km course to the Mt. Buller Alpine Village on each of the event's seven runs that began on Friday morning.

This was the third running of the Porsche Mt Buller Sprint, and the entry had increased to 140 cars.

Coming second outright, also in a Porsche using Dunlop tyres were Tony Quinn and Keith Wenn.

In total, seven of the top ten cars chose Dunlop tyres and a massive 49% of all competitors did the same.

In 2005 Dunlop tyres won 10 of the 12 Major Tarmac events, unfortunately the Mt Buller sprint was not one of them. This sets us up for potentially winning more than 10 this year.
