Dunlop's domination of Tarmac racing continues with this years running of Targa tasmania. Congratulations to Tasmanians John & Jason White in their Dunlop shod Nissan Skyline 4WD. Commiserations must go to multiple winners Jim Richards and Barry Oliver who slid out of contention in the snow affected final day of competition; their rear wheel drive Porsche being good enough for 3rd overall.

Other Dunlop-shod place-getters were Rex Broadbent & Michael Goedheer in their Daytona Coupe in 4th.

In all, Dunlop tyres were fitted to 42% of Modern Competition cars in this years event. The second most popular tyre fitted had 19% of the field. In all, 10 different brands of competition tyres were used across the 115 cars.
