Kent Watts and Brendan Spurr have fought off several challenges including defending champions Jim Richards and Barry Oliver, to win this year's Toll Shipping Rally Tasmania from Tony Quinn and Keith Wenn. In common with other winners recently, Kent and Brendan chose the new Dunlop DZ02G tyres for their BMW M3R.

Also winning on the new Dunlop tyres were the Escort team of Steve Richards and Gerry Bashford. This team took out honours in the equally hard-fought Heritage section for classic cars.
